Abbot Stan’s Sabbatical

Abbot Stan is taking a sabbatical beginning September 13, 2009. The first month he will be addressing some continuing health issues, including new surgery for a double hernia. Beginning in the middle of October he will be at Saint Joseph’s Abbey, a Trappist monastery in Spencer, Massachusetts, returning to Mepkin early next year. During the time of Abbot Stan’s sabbatical, Father Kevin Walsh, the newly appointed Prior, will have the responsibility for the day-to-day running of Mepkin Abbey. Please keep Abbot Stan, Father Kevin and all of us in your prayers. It is a time of great grace.
