Tours are 11:30 AM and 3:00 PM Tuesdays to Saturdays. Tours are $5 per person (children and students free) which includes a guidebook of either the Gardens or the Monastery. Please note that there are no tours on Sundays and Mondays.
Mepkin Abbey Store Hours
Visitor's Center and gift shop will be closed the morning of August 8, 2015 due to a funeral and will reopen at 1 PM. There will be the scheduled 3 PM tour.

Sunday: 1pm - 3pm
The Store is closed on Christmas, Thanksgiving, and Easter.
Once a month, on a Friday, the monks have a day of total silence and solitude. They call these the “Desert Days” and no tours of the monastery are given on these days. However, the Visitors’ Center/Gift Shop and the gardens are open. The Desert Days for 2015 are: May 8, June 5, July 3, Aug. 7, Sept. 4, Oct. 2, and Nov. 6.

Father Nicholas is a priest of the Archdiocese of Baltimore and an Associate of Mepkin Abbey. He leads the monastery's contemplative directed retreats and is Executive Director of the Mepkin Priest Wellness Program offered to priests in parish ministry.
