Mepkin Church Renovations Starting

Work has begun on a large project in the church in Mepkin. Scaffolding has gone up outdoors; this phase will take between two and four months. The flashing is being fixed, the windows repaired, the building cleaned, and new stucco applied.

As a result of the work, the Monday-Friday Mass will be celebrated in the commons of the monastery, which is located in the senior wing. It will be followed by Terce. The other weekday services will take place in the church as usual. Saturday and Sunday services will also be in the church as usual, as there will be no work in progress at those times.
