Sanity and Sanctity

Mepkin welcomed Brother Don Bisson, FMS, D. Min., once again, to lead a four day program entitled “Sanity and Sanctity”, having invited solemn professed monks and nuns of the US region of our Order, to share the experience of these sessions with us. The call to holiness is a theme attractive to every person who says yes to a call to religious life, in our case more specifically, contemplative monastic life. Growing into the person who responds to this call is a lifetime endeavor, So much of holiness requires a foundation that means understanding oneself, one’s human development and one’s perceptions of others and the dynamics of human relationships.
With years of experience serving as novice director for the Marist brothers and years serving as a spiritual director, a counselor and as director of a school for those becoming spiritual directors, Brother Don brings a wealth of experiences and a very focused education to be with us and speak about sanity and sanctity.
