We carry God’s presence in us into the world
The generosity of God is without measure.
When is God not loving us. To respond to God’s love with deliberate attention, making the consistent choice to be God aware, is an effort, but what else is our freedom for? We are made for God, to share all eternity with God, to carry the presence of God within us into the world.
In “The Mirror of Charity” Aelred of Riveaulx calls us to remember that all love is a participation in God-love that leads us to union. The reality that we are living a communion with God that gives us union with every other person God has brought into being, transforms our understanding of the human reality. It reminds us we are meant to transform the human experience.
Our human endeavors are ordered to a divine plan if we keep ourselves conscious of the relationship out of which our lives flow.
