Blessed Christmas from your Sisters in Ecuador!
What a year we have all had — and it still hasn’t ended. We have survived the pandemic so far and have indeed flourished through it. Because of the lockdown we had to rely on each other more than ever and this has brought us closer together.
We opened up the retreat house in August, but retreatants have been few and far between over these months. Masks were obligatory, but those who came were quite respectful of that and I am sure that grace was present to lead them into a deeper relationship with the Lord. They participated in whatever Hours they desired and most came to Eucharist as well.
We received an apostolic Sister as an observer for three months in the fall. Unfortunately, on her return to her Congregation in Guayaquil she contracted Covid-19. She remains under medical supervision. Pray for her.
Our three novices and our three temporary professed continue to grow and be convinced this is the life to which the Lord is calling them. Pray for them also.
May the tenderness of our God fill us all with the great joy of the Gospel.
