Brother Clement receives the novice habit

As we honored the memory of Saint Rafael Arnaiz Baron this year, we celebrated with Brother Richard as he received the novice habit and a new name. Brother Richard is now Brother Clement.

Having completed the year as a postulant and believing God was calling him to advance in the monastic journey, Brother Richard asked Father Joe, our superior, to receive the novice habit. Completing the process of discernment, Father Joe affirmed Brother Richard to advance.

In their conversations came the discussion of a new name. It was determined that, inspired by the example of Saint Clement of Rome, Brother Richard would now be known in our community as Brother Clement.
