Mr. Joseph P. Kline, Jr. Died on Wednesday, Jan. 8.

A long-time friend and benefactor of Mepkin Abbey, Mr. Kline last visited the monastery in August for the dedication of the St. Francis Retreat Center and the Father Francis Kline Memorial Chapel.

Jan. 8, 2014: Mr. Joseph P. Kline, Jr. passed away peacefully on Jan. 8, 2014.   Mr. Kline is predeceased by his son, Fr. Francis Kline, former Abbot of Mepkin Abbey. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Jan. 13 at 11 a.m. at St. Thomas Church in Brigantine, NJ; Abbot Stan Gumula will attend the Mass. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in his memory be made to St. Thomas Church or Mepkin Abbey.
